Description
Supplements: Or just stay on your porch as the parade passes by and the high school band plays, as the town joins on their way to Friday nights game under the lights. It's no longer a dream it is here...You just have to ask and obviously Pay. Now follow me with a little less conversation, lets take it all in as we enter into the grand foyer with exposed brick and timber walls. First we pass the formal living room/parlor boasting 10 foot ceilings, pristine hardwood floors and unspoiled wood work and trim throughout the home. Next the formal dining room with its expanded bow window, a stylish and sophisticated design of the 1800's, allowing the natural light to brighten the room, both displaying two fireplaces ( currently non working). As we enter the rear of the home, it's most certainly a place to play a little vinyl from your collection, maybe on an old zenith record player, my choice today would be medley of some Big Band Swing, Elvis, Frank or Waylon & Willie and the boys. Relax look around and take it all in, as we stand gathered in the graciously sized gourmet country kitchen with its modern upgrades, granite tops, stainless appliances and breakfast bar. Adjacent is the family room with a gallery of windows exposing the panoramic views of the lake front property. You are drawn to the back of the home, step into the covered rain porch. Please take a stroll down to the lake while I make a few cocktails, Its not too early!! I just heard the church bells go off, its noon, who are they to judge. Be cautious as you pass by the pool the heater is not on and the water is quite brisk! Be sure too also look inside the 2 car garage. When you return we will tour the upstairs. Did you enjoy? were you able to feed the ducks? Upstairs, first is the master bedroom with vaulted ceiling and exposed beams, ample closets and views of the lake. Do check out the two other bedrooms, each with its own design. Do venture into the newly renovated bathroom and the study/office overlooking the town. The third floor expresses the size of this home with cathedral ceilings, built in bunks and as I promised, an unobstructed birds eye view of the entire lake and the historic village of Allentown. Formally named Allens- town the cross roads of NJ, where many merchants, those traveling from Philly and N.Y. and Soldiers during the Revolutionary war have visited. Allentown has produced from its residents, six United State Congressman, a New Jersey Governor, a governor of the Washington Territory and the first Chief Justice of New Jersey. This is your chance to own a little history, when life was simple and everybody had time for one another. If all that I have demonstrated has been your desire then make it a point to view this home. I am quite confident you will have found the house in the town you want to call home.
